MIDWEEK WORSHIP, WEDNESDAY EVENINGS DURING LENT

February 21, 28; March 6, 13, and 20 at 6:15pm

We will share in a liturgy of Evening Prayer. After worship each week, we will gather in the narthex for some food and fellowship. Our worship on March 13 will be a service of healing. (Please note the date change.)

February 28 – food provided by Women’s Bible Study

March 6 – food provided by Church Council

March 13 – Service of Healing, food provided by Music & Worship

March 20 – food provided by Health Ministry & Building & Grounds, and a special presentation regarding emergency situations (see announcement elsewhere)

9:30am Sunday School for all ages. The cereal drive ends by “knockin’ all the boxes down!”

6:00am Easter sunrise vigil OUTDOOR SERVICE here at Trinity, with the option of remaining in your vehicle.

Menu: Eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast breads, fruit & beverages.

All are welcome! A freewill offering is gladly appreciated.

CALENDAR REMINDERS – UPCOMING EVENTS

EVERY WEDNESDAY – Music & Story Time

Time: 9:30am – 10:10am – Where: Trinity Evan. Lutheran Church

Ages Preschoolers, toddlers, and even the youngest of infants. Together with their parents, grandparents &/or caregivers. Songs, instruments, stories, snacks, and crafts will all be a part of this lively, fun-filled time for the youngest of God’s children and the adults who care for them. You are invited to come and bring friends and neighbors to this weekday ministry. SEE YOU THERE!!

(Please note: There will be no Music and Story Time on Wednesday, March 27. Instead, please join us that week on GOOD FRIDAY, March 29 at 10:30am for WALKING WITH JESUS.)

Family Game Night”

Sunday March 10th @ 4:30pm

The Parish Ed Committee and Outreach/Social Ministry Committee will sponsor a “Family Game Night” on Sunday, March 10th.

Active games like parachute, giant Jenga, cornhole, Twister, ladder golf, and “the floor is lava!”

Fun for our whole church family and friends, and pizza!!

ALL ARE INVITED!! Come enjoy some family time!!

 

SOCIAL OUTREACH Opportunity to Serve!

We continue to collect desserts for Abiding Mission. Desserts can be homemade or store bought. They are primarily looking for cookies or muffins. If not commercially packaged, please package your desserts in baggies. For example – two (2) cookies to a bag or one (1) muffin to a bag. Fresh fruit is also needed – soft fruits that can be easily distributed – NO APPLES.

LIGHTHOUSE FOOD PANTRY – Trinity members are encouraged to continue their support of the Lighthouse food pantry. Items may be dropped off at the church in the bin outside the office door, or taken directly to the Lighthouse. Best time to drop off donations there is Thursdays 12-3PM and Fridays 10AM-1PM. Monetary donations or gift cards may also be made. ($20 increments please). Please . . . NON-PERISHABLE ITEMS ONLY

Guest Speaker: Kent Chevalier, Chaplain of the Pittsburgh Steelers

Kent Chevalier was invited by Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach, Mike Tomlin, to join the staff of Athletes in Action and serve as an NFL Chaplain. He is a Pittsburgh native and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Student Ministry from Geneva College and Master’s in Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. After serving for 22 years as a Pastor in the local church context, Kent now enjoys speaking in various faith-driven settings to inspire and equip people to embrace the fear of the unknown so they can jump into their God-given purpose. He values most being a husband to Erica and a dad to their three daughters
